Fake Amazon Website Stealing Login Details

A website pretending to be Amazon is tricking people into entering their username and password, which are then stolen by criminals. Families who shop on Amazon or whose kids use Amazon accounts are at risk.

What to do: Never click links to Amazon from emails or messages — always type amazon.com directly into your browser, and check that your family's Amazon password is unique and not reused elsewhere.

What this means for your family

Criminals have created a fake Amazon website that looks real but steals your login information when you enter it. If anyone in your family shops on Amazon or has an account, you're at risk if you click a suspicious link. Always go directly to amazon.com by typing it yourself, never through email links, and make sure your Amazon password is different from passwords you use elsewhere.
