If someone in your family clicks a link to a fake Apple website and enters their password, hackers could access all their photos, emails, and payment information stored in iCloud. The safest approach is to always type apple.com directly into your browser instead of clicking links, and turn on two-factor authentication so even a stolen password won't let anyone in.
