Fake Apple Maps website stealing login info

A fraudulent website is impersonating Apple Maps to trick people into entering their Apple ID credentials. If a family member clicks this link and logs in, their Apple account could be hijacked.

What to do: Warn your family never to click unexpected links claiming to be from Apple — always go directly to apple.com — and if anyone entered their Apple ID on an unfamiliar site, change the password and enable two-factor authentication immediately.

What this means for your family

If someone in your family clicks a link to a fake Apple Maps site and enters their Apple ID password, a scammer could access their email, photos, payment methods, and all their Apple devices. Tell everyone to ignore unexpected links and always type apple.com directly into the browser instead, and if anyone already logged in somewhere suspicious, they should change their Apple password right away and turn on two-factor authentication for extra protection.
