Fake ChatGPT site targets Discord users with phishing link

A confirmed phishing website is disguising itself as content about Discord updates to trick people into giving up their login details. Discord is widely used by children and teens, making this a direct risk to family accounts.

What to do: Warn your kids never to click links about Discord updates from unfamiliar websites, and make sure Discord accounts have two-factor authentication enabled.

What this means for your family

A fake website is pretending to be about Discord updates to steal login passwords from kids and teens. If your child clicks a suspicious link and enters their Discord info, someone could take over their account and access their friends, messages, and any payment methods linked to it. Turn on two-factor authentication in Discord settings and remind your kids to only log in through the official Discord app or website, never from random links.
