Fake Facebook Login Page Stealing Passwords

A confirmed phishing link is impersonating Facebook to trick people into entering their login credentials, which are then stolen by criminals. Family members who click this link and log in could have their Facebook account hijacked.

What to do: Warn your family never to click unknown links claiming to be Facebook — always go directly to facebook.com by typing it in the browser, and enable two-factor authentication on all Facebook accounts.

What this means for your family

Criminals are creating fake Facebook login pages to steal passwords. If someone in your family clicks a suspicious link and enters their login details, their account gets hijacked and could be used to scam friends or steal personal photos. Tell everyone to ignore unexpected links and always type facebook.com directly into the browser, and turn on two-factor authentication for extra protection.
