Fake iCloud Website Stealing Passwords

A fake website is pretending to be Apple iCloud to trick people into entering their login details, which are then stolen by criminals. Families who use Apple devices or iCloud are potential targets.

What to do: Do not click any links claiming to be iCloud unless you typed apple.com yourself — if your child or family member received a link like this, do not enter any passwords and delete the message immediately.

What this means for your family

If someone in your family gets a message with a link to "sign in to iCloud," be very careful—it might be fake. Only go to iCloud by typing apple.com directly into your browser, never by clicking a link. If anyone accidentally entered their password on a suspicious site, change it right away and let Apple know.
