Fake Instagram Login Page Stealing Passwords

A fake website is pretending to be Instagram to trick people into entering their username and password, which are then stolen by criminals. Children and teens who use Instagram are at risk if they click a link leading to this page.

What to do: Tell your kids never to log into Instagram (or any app) from a link sent via message or email — always go directly to the official app or instagram.com.

What this means for your family

Scammers are creating fake Instagram login pages to steal passwords from kids and teens. If your child clicks a suspicious link and enters their login info, criminals could access their account, contacts, and photos. Teach them to always open Instagram directly from their phone's app or the official website, never through links in messages or emails.
