Fake Instagram Login Page Stealing Passwords

A fake website is pretending to be Instagram to trick people into entering their username and password, which are then stolen by criminals. Kids and teens who use Instagram are at risk if they click a link leading to this page.

What to do: Warn your children never to click Instagram links sent via messages or posts, and remind them that the real Instagram address is always instagram.com — bookmark it so they use only the official site.

What this means for your family

Scammers are creating fake Instagram pages to steal your kids' passwords when they click suspicious links. If your teen logs in on a fake site, criminals could access their account, photos, and contacts. Teach them to only visit instagram.com directly and never click Instagram links from messages or posts.
