Fake WhatsApp Website Stealing Logins

A fraudulent website disguised as WhatsApp is actively tricking people into handing over their account credentials. If a family member clicks this link, their WhatsApp account could be hijacked.

What to do: Do not click any link containing 'whapptr1.com.cn' — warn your kids that the real WhatsApp website is whatsapp.com only, and report the link as phishing if received in a message.

What this means for your family

Someone's created a fake WhatsApp website to steal login information. If your child or anyone in your family clicks a suspicious link and enters their password, a scammer could take over their WhatsApp account and impersonate them to contacts. Tell everyone to only visit whatsapp.com directly and report any strange links as spam.
