Fake Login Page Stealing Passwords

A confirmed fake login page is active online, designed to trick people into entering their username and password so criminals can steal their account credentials. Children or parents could land on this page via a link in an email, text, or social media message.

What to do: Do not click any links that look suspicious or unexpected — remind your children never to enter passwords on a page they reached by clicking a link, and always go directly to official websites instead.

What this means for your family

Someone has set up a fake website that looks like a real login page to trick people into typing their passwords. Your family could accidentally land on it through a suspicious email, text, or social media message. The best protection is teaching everyone to ignore unexpected links and always type website addresses directly into the browser instead of clicking links.
