Fake Steam Gaming Link Stealing Passwords

A fraudulent website is impersonating Steam (a popular gaming platform used by kids and teens) to trick users into entering their login details. Clicking this link could result in your child's gaming account being stolen.

What to do: Warn your children never to click links to Steam sent via chat, email, or social media — always log in only at store.steampowered.com directly.

What this means for your family

If your kids play games on Steam, watch out for fake login links sent through messages or emails. Clicking these links lets scammers steal their gaming account and any money or games attached to it. Teach them to ignore links and always type store.steampowered.com directly into their browser instead.
